I just happened to be in the upstairs bedroom today, taking advantage of the light coming through the window while shooting for the “floral – top down” assignment in The Studio | Online, and took a few minutes to look at the view outside……..not much of a view……part of our roof but it was covered with snow and then I saw it…….a squirrel’s winter nest high up in one of the Maple trees.
So I shot right through the window to get this image.
The sky was a beautiful blue today (for a change), the sun was shining (for an even bigger change), and I was fortunate enough to see this when I did. I’m going to have to pay attention to see if they’re actually using this nest or if it’s an abandoned nest from the past summer.
I’m wanting to do some landscape photography come Spring, so maybe I’ll just dub this my first go at it. What do you think, does it pass for landscape photography?
