It was a day to “simplify” my photography. It was a long and busy day. I didn’t have an opportunity to shoot in the daytime but needed the peace of shooting SOMETHING and something simple.
I can spend an hour at times setting up a still life OR I can keep it simple, grab a couple things like this old worn and torn book and a dried and withered flower. I placed them on my old boards and since it was night time, I placed them on a low table in front of my dresser….where there was a student lamp turned on. You can see in the image that the light was actually coming from the top. I set my camera to tungsten and did my shoot. I wanted it darkish and shadows.
So, Wabi Sabi Texture Tuesday it is! It’s not an award winning image for sure but I was happy with it and that’s what our photography journey is all about, right?
I did my basic edit in Lightroom and added Kim’s “kk-lookup” texture, color burn at 36%, then went back and made a slight levels adjustment to the image layer itself.
There you have it……my Texture Tuesday! Now I’m off to visit others who have joined in as well. Such inspiration!!
