This old guitar belonged to my husband’s Father. It has just been stored but never played. The tuning keys are worn almost completely off, it’s missing a string, yet it holds a dear place in Gene’s heart.
Today I cleaned it up and applied some milsek oil to the wood……..I actually think it smiled at me.
I’m following a prompt about music for The Studio | Online that the lovely Aeleen posted this week.
When I thought about music and the image I wanted to create for it, I thought about this old guitar……which made me think of music to meditate or relax with. And one of my very favorite CDs to listen to is called “Gathering Spirits” by John Huling.
I had used a black shower curtain for my background and then used Kim’s “cecile” texture, linear burn at 70%, on the image and just loved what it did to the background. I then masked the texture off the guitar.
Can’t wait to come up with more set-ups using this oh-so-special guitar!
