I knew when the potting bench prompt came up in The Studio | Online and after I posted the first images of it that it would become a series, with various props, various flowers and the actual process of potting my flowers…….so on with The Potting Bench – Part 2.
I decided to take a couple shots at different angles than I used in the first images. Here, I’m preparing to pot a start off my Christmas Cactus and another pot of flowers (celosia and coleus).
I wanted a close-up.
And I think this is my favorite. You can see the bright light beginning to move in from the left onto the potting bench. I like to do my potting bench shots before the bright sunshine is directly on the bench. I also used Kim’s “walnut” preset on this one with a few slight adjustments. This is the only shot I used any presets on. I just adore the true color that comes from the kit lens!
And then one of the entire potting bench after the potting was done.
one more shot two more shots and this was from the day before…..getting ready to plant my half-barrel.
Flowers are Veronica, 2 English Lavenders, 2 sweet potato vines, and a wave petunia.
So hoping you’re enjoying the potting bench prompt like I am. Can’t wait to see what the others from The Studio have posted on Instagram and Facebook!
