Today was the first day that I really got outside to check the flower garden…….nothing yet…….but of course I knew it was still too early but I took a few things out with me. I felt the need to take a couple photos on my potting bench since the snow has finally disappeared from it. Doing so gave me the Hope of Spring……dreams and ideas of what I’d like to do with my flower garden this year, the photos I can take, what vegetables I’d like to grow, the weeding and mulching to be done, how the sun will feel on my face, the peace that gardening gives my soul…….just all around hopes for the warm weather to come. I’m sure most of you are waiting on the same thing.
So I’ll start off with my textured image that I’m linking up with Kim’s Texture Tuesday.
I used Kim’s “chocolate” lightroom preset on this one. I love how it brings out the gorgeous grain in the potting bench’s wood.
The rest have no texture or presets applied.
This image is the first one I took, further back.
And here’s a look at my potting bench that my husband and I built last summer out of an old section of privacy fence. I’m hoping for a shopping trip to the Antique Stores real soon to try to find some vintage garden tools to decorate it with.
And this is our Miss Raider……she’s a year old and appears to be helping me clean up the flower garden by picking up the sticks for me. I believe she has her own reasons for picking up sticks…….she will have them spread all over the yard given the chance. LOL
I hope you enjoyed this snippet of my day. I’m off to see what others have shared for their own Texture Tuesday.
Until next post…..Hugs and Have An Artistic Day!
