It was chilly, dark and raining this morning and by my edits today, it looks like my mood was keeping match with the weather. But it’s all good, I had fun doing these.
I’m linking up with Kim Klassen’s Texture Tuesday. I grabbed one folder of her textures that I’m not sure I’ve even used yet. You can’t go wrong with ANY of her textures. I don’t believe there’s a right and wrong way to edit your images, it’s just up to you what you like. Just be creative and have fun!
I went outside yesterday morning to find my gorgeous little sunflower that I had shot macro……had faded…..but it was still gorgeous to me and the perfect subject for a new shoot.

KK-allard – multiply, reduced opacity

IMAGE #2 –
kk-tres – linear burn 70% opacity
brushed just some of the texture away
IMAGE #3 – looks like my mood lightened up a bit, huh?
kk-laurent – soft light 100%
kk-laurent – color burn 80%
masked texture off the fabric and flower only, not the wood
IMAGE #4 – I decided to try something completely different with this image. Now it’s ready for a scrapbook page too!
kk-bien – color burn 70% opacity
I added a brown color as background and textured in PS with “burlap”
I added one of my new brushes on top of the background paper layer
I then added a photo mask by Julie Mead to the image
And then added a black selection border to the piece
Hope you enjoyed my post today. The sun is out now and I’m heading out to rescue some herbs before it decides to frost!!
Hugs and Have A Creative Week!!
