This post is based on my Word for 2015…..Simplify AND also participating in Kim’s “still life sunday competition” on Instagram…….loving Instagram! So much inspiration!
I’m continuing to work towards simplifying my life by maintaining my decluttering and organization…..small bites at a time, but I’m seeing progress all through my home. But that isn’t all there is to a simple life. There’s so much more. I spent more time this week relaxing with a good book (on my Kindle….The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron) in the evenings and cuddling with the furbabies (I really need to get some pics of Boo, Raider, and Bart to share).
I’m working hard at UN-depressing myself by reminding myself that things happen for a reason and different people cross our path for different reasons. I don’t know if I’ll ever get it completely figured out but I DO know that in order to simplify my life, I have to take things in stride…..let SOME things slide…..take care of myself…..and have a grateful heart.
Now on to the images.
All these images were processed in lightroom and they all have Kim’s “moodswing” preset applied. Just a couple subtle changes in each.
Oh this one, I had my aperture set at f/1.4 using my 50mm lens
I backed out a bit to allow for more “white space” so I could add a quote to this one for my 2015 Word. I also used my kit lens (18-105mm) on this one with an aperture of f/4.8
And I just HAD to crop a square for a possible canvas print. I just LOVE using cheesecloth….such a soft and soothing presence in the image.
And so ends this week with what I hope has been some inspiration for you.
Thanks so much for stopping by.
