I’m sure getting the good out of this pear……and I hope it’s still good to eat once I’m finished shooting it!
First, about my backdrop (the mission for this week’s Be Still Fifty Two)……..many of you probably know that we’ve been remodeling and that has included painting, painting, and MORE painting. I went with a “cottage white”. These images were shot in my upstairs bathroom where I find lovely light between late morning and early afternoon. The walls in this room were painted with the cottage white as well and I’m enjoying have a solid white (but not pure white) background to shoot against.
I came up with the idea to hang the cheesecloth and was pretty darn happy with this set up.
ORIGINAL IMAGE with a basic lightroom edit.
CROPPED IMAGE using kk-darkday lightroom preset with an increase tweak in the orange saturation
SQUARE CROP using kk-chocolate lightroom preset.
I really loved the effect of the preset on this one. I added this image to instagram in #mystillsundaycompetition. I can’t begin to explain the amazing inspiration that goes along with that hash tag (thanks Kim!!)……..you simply MUST check it all out if you’re an Instagrammer. I’m becoming more used to it now…….was totally afraid of Instagram because I didn’t know how it all worked, but with practice…….I’m loving it more everyday! So very much eye candy to be found!
Amazing isn’t it? One photo, three very different looks! It could go on and on and on with all the available presets, textures, etc.
Sure hope you enjoyed this post and just to let you know………I STILL have more images of this pear…….different angles, different props, etc. More to come SOON!
