I can’t believe it’s Sunday again already! The weeks are flying by so quickly…..spring and REAL flowers and fresh veggies will be here before we know it. Oh how good that sunshine will feel and the fresh air from open windows and doors. The furbabies will be able to go outside to play………well, I could go on and on but I best get to my post.
I’m sharing and image (or two) on Instagram for #mystillsundaycompetition.
My “spark” came from Denise Powers Fabian, a fellow classmate in The Studio | Online. You can see her image HERE on her Flickr photostream. Gorgeousness!!
I used my Macro Lens on this image, with a tripod and an aperture of f/9 to get the biggest part of it in focus.
Again, the Macro Lens with a shift in my position and an aperture of f/2.8 with focus on the needle and thread…….kind of loving that blur in the rest of the image.
Macro with an aperture of f/9 and moved back from the set-up a bit. I also added a vignette in Lightroom. I think it just puts the focus right on my objects. I really love the white space in this one.
I’ve been cropping a number of my still life images to square lately……….they’re simple to print out and hang from a large frame covered with chicken wire or rows of wire, for wall decor…….no longer hidden away on my hard drive.
Actually, here’s a post I did back in October with an example of a frame being used for 4×4 prints. (The link will open in a new window so you won’t lose your place).
And this last image is the same shot as above but cropped to a 5×7, no vignette, and I decided to add a quote. Pretty appropriate for artists that make a “creative mess”. Love it!
So there you have my Sunday Still and hopefully I’ll be back with another next week!
Have an Artistic Day!
