Welcome to Scripture and a Snapshot – Week 4 of 2017.
FYI – I am going to spend the next 10 weeks in the Book of Psalms sharing how God is described……in the book of Psalms.
This week he is described as: Beautiful and desirable and I’ve chosen a favorite verse from the 27th Psalm, however I encourage you to read the entire 27th Psalm and if you have a study Bible, take time to read the corresponding study notes or you can use any of a number of study Bibles online.
The scripture for today is Psalms 27:4
I would love to have you join in each week. I’m hoping to have a linky once again available in the next week or two. AND/OR you can join in by posting your scripture and snapshots on Instagram using #scriptureandasnapshot…….hope to see you around!!
If you want to share your post from your blog this week, please leave a comment with a link to your Scripture and a Snapshot post.
The Life Application Bible has this to say about this verse:
David could be referring to the Tabernacle in Gibeon, to the sanctuary he had put up to house the Ark of the Covenant, or to the Temple that his son Solomon was to build. David probably had the Temple in mind because he made many of the plans for it (1 Chronicles 22). But David may also have used the word temple to mean “the presence of the Lord.” His greatest desire was to live in God’s presence each day of his life. Sadly, this is not the greatest desire of many who claim to be believers. But those who live daily in God’s presence now will be able to enjoy that relationship forever.
Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you’ll return each week for this “series” in the book of Psalms.
FYI – Week 5 is being posted today as well.
Have a Blessed Sunday,
