Hello and welcome to Scripture and a Snapshot challenge.
I hope you’ll play along!
Here’s how it works……
You can play along simply by sharing your own snapshot with a verse from the Bible on it. Use any snapshot and any scripture you choose. You can upload your image to Flickr or your blog and then pop back in here and link up below.
You can also join in on Instagram by tagging your image with #scriptureandasnapshot (you must have an instagram account for this).
I’m a little late getting my post up today. There’s a reason for that, as you’ll see below.
I think everyone has times of tribulation on Earth. We are in one of those valleys right now.
I don’t normally put my life or problems out there for everyone to see, but I’m going to share today. My husband Gene was admitted to the hospital around 3:30 am yesterday. He had been having chest pains throughout the day on Friday but didn’t tell me until the wee hours when they woke him from sleep. I finally was able to convince him to let me take him to the ER.
They drew blood but declared his heart fine…..no heart attack. He’s still in the hospital being monitored and having tests run to try to find the problem. The chest pains stopped soon after he was admitted but they wanted to keep him for observation.
On Tuesday morning, we visit the urologist to get the results of his prostate biopsy.
It seems that it’s been one thing right after the other with one or both of us since just before Christmas.
I thought this verse from John 16 was appropriate for our situation as it is right now.
But God promises that it won’t always be so…….that one day……there will be no more tears. I claim that promise and TRY to be of good cheer…..knowing “that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose” (Romans 8:28).
Those are hard words to live by but the Lord understands that I am human.
Today I’m asking that if you’re a prayer warrior…….we could use your prayers.
Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you’ll link up with me today.
