Happy New Year! And welcome to Scripture and a Snapshot!
Yes, I stopped at Week 39 last year……..but that’s okay! It’s a New Year, a new day and it’s okay to falter now and then but we just pick ourselves back up and continue on.
So, the scripture for today is 1 Corinthians 6:19-20
I would love to have you join in each week. I’m hoping to have a linky once again available in the next week or two. AND/OR you can join in by posting your scripture and snapshots on Instagram using #scriptureandasnapshot…….hope to see you around!!
If you want to share your post from your blog this week, please leave a comment with a link to your Scripture and a Snapshot post.
The Life Application Bible has this to say about the verses for today:
“What did Paul mean when he said that our bodies belong to God? Many people say they have a right to do whatever they want with their own bodies. Although they think this is freedom, they are really enslaved to their own desires. When we become Christians, the Holy Spirit fills and lives in us. Therefore, we no longer own our bodies. We have been “bought with a price” refers to slaves purchased at auction. Christ’s death freed us from sin, but also obligates us to his service. If you live in a building owned by someone else, you don’t violate the building rules. Because your body belongs to God, you must not violate his standards for living.”
Thanks so much for stopping by……it means so much to me.
Have a Blessed Sunday and New Year’s Day!
