Have you ever felt like your plate was waaaay too full and you’re absolutely overwhelmed with things to do, things you WANT to do but there’s just not enough hours in the day?! Well, that’s exactly how I’ve been feeling for the past couple weeks. But here I am today, trying to catch up with a few monthly memes and one of those is Six Word Fridays. So my six words for my shared images today are:
November’s First Snow was my Delight!
I woke up this morning to three inches of snow on our front deck. I LOVE snow and I know people get sick of hearing me say that. But it’s true. I just can’t help myself! It’s so clean and pure and serene when it first falls.
Oh and let me mention that I’m also linking up with Nurture Photography, whose prompt last Friday was “brown/tabletop” and Kim Klassen’s Texture Tuesday. Now I didn’t share a tabletop, just brown, but here are my shares this week.
Here is our 3 inches of snow and I wanted to capture the beautiful blue of the sky as well. And my brown ruler.
I framed the brown leaves and blue sky between the two trees.
More brown with the planter that holds my hens and chicks. I’m surprised they’re still showing their green.
And here is a before and after, the after using Kim Klassen’s “kk-allard” texture. I applied a color burn blending mode and lowered the opacity to around 65%, then added a layer mask to remove the texture from the snow.
AFTER with the texture and effects. LOVE the pop of color with the color burn.
So, once again, I’ve linked up with:
Thanks so much for stopping by and Have A Creative Day!
