Oh my……who knows how many parts there may be to this One Little Thing prompt in The Studio, but it is sure testing my thought processes. I wanted to shoot One Little Thing – Part 2 in the daylight hours, so here’s what I came up with for my old saxophone today.
I used my 10-24mm wide angle lens for this top down shot. I’m really beginning to love this lens. For top down shots, it’s so much easier than climbing on a chair or ladder to capture the shot. For my edit in Lightroom, I did a crop to straighten up the lines in the wood a bit more. I added an Auto Tone and then played with the adjustments to the shadows, highlights, saturation, and vibrance. I then applied Kim’s “darkmood” preset but increased the saturation a little.
And then for the 2nd image, I created a virtual copy of the original DNG image and applied Kim’s “breathe” preset.
I love them both. It’s so easy to get carried away applying presets and then not being able to decide which you like best, so I stopped with these two for this particular image.
Hopefully, I’ll come up with another saxophone shot tomorrow! Already have ideas running through my head.
Thanks for stopping by and have a grand Sunday! Don’t forget my #scriptureandasnapshot on Instagram! Would love to see you join in!
