In The Studio, we’re working on One Little Thing……choosing one prop and working through a series of images that change it up a bit but the One Little Thing remains in every image.
I’ve chosen to step outside my comfort zone for this one and challenge myself with something a bit larger…….my old saxophone from my middle school years. Yes, I was in the band in Junior High School and STILL have my poor old sax!
I’ll be shooting in different areas in and around my home, different light, different props with the sax.
So here goes……One Little Thing – Part 1:
I shot this with a flashlight aimed at the white ceiling. It was about 9:45 PM. In Lightroom, I set a custom white balance, adjusted the highlights, shadows, and contrast, then applied Kim’s “true color” preset. I then used the “brighten center” preset by Pretty Presets and finally applied a post-crop vignette style: paint overlay to further accentuate the center spotlight.
Ideas for shooting are running through my mind and I think I’m going to have fun with this one!
So glad you stopped by and wishing you a wonderful weekend! Get out there and shoot!!
