I got the urge to shoot some Macro images this past weekend. The image you see here is actually my Azalea bush. It sure looks to me like it may need some serious pruning. I noticed the lichen, or maybe it’s a fungus on some of the branches. But before I whack them off with my trusty pruners, I wanted to capture the beauty in the ugliness of the branches.
Here’s where I need your help. The first image was a bit underexposed but loving darker images the way I do, I kind of liked it. But I like the 2nd image I shot too. What I’d like for you to do is choose which image you like best. Leave me a comment choosing either Image 1 or Image 2 and I’ll email you a download link to the brush shown at the bottom of this post. You can use it however you wish. I’ve also included a PNG version for those that may not have the larger brush size that CS6 allows. There are several ways you could use it
- as a brush on a new layer overtop a photo, experiment with some blend modes
- as a underlay in a digital layout
- as an overlay on digital paper to create a background
- or any other way you may have in mind
So, let the voting begin! I’m anxious to see what the majority chooses.
Here’s the brush you’ll get just for choosing your favorite image. Voting will conclude at the end of the day on Thursday, July 18, 2013 and the download will no longer be available. So be sure to have your votes/comments in my then.
Hugs and Have A Creative Day!
