A Little Scrapbooking for DSD

October 3, 2016 by CherylMC Leave a Comment

I had totally forgotten about it being Digital Scrapbooking Day on October 1st. It seems the date was moved up a bit due to the approaching Holidays. Did any of you know this? And were you able to participate in any of the online activities or grab some goodies with all the sales going on? I’d love for you to leave me a comment and tell me about your day.

Since I didn’t know until the last moment, I’d planned on preparing my Scripture and a Snapshot post so it would be scheduled to post just after midnight Saturday night. But WHILE I was working on that, I hopped over to Get It Scrapped where Debbie Hodge was holding an ALL DAY scrapping event on a LIVE Webinar. Several of the ladies had their webcams on so you could see them and our microphones were open so we could all chit chat away about anything at all! Debbie shared her screen so we could see the layout she was working on and then anyone else that wanted to could show their layouts as well.

It had been YEARS since I’ve done an entire day of scrapping with others online so I decided to stick with them, except for meal and bathroom breaks of course. I enjoyed myself so very much. I did get my blog post scheduled and 2 layouts done but mostly just listened in and chatted now and then. SO FUN!

And now, I’ll share the two digital scrapbooking layouts I completed. As you probably know, I’ve been creating layouts mostly with products of Anna Aspnes, but I switched gears yesterday and went back to my previous style. And I believe that’s okay, don’t you? Do you stick to one style or just scrap according to your mood or how you’re feeling at the time?

This first one will go in Alexia’s Album. The kids will get these for Christmas to add to their scrapbooking albums that I’d already begun for them.

This kit was a collaboration between Jumpstart Design and Laura Burger, from Pickleberry Pop.

This layout is for Benson. You’ll notice that one image is the same as the one in the lower left of Alexia’s, but they’re brother and sister and wanted both of them to have this same photo in each of their albums. And of course, I changed up the journaling for Benson just a bit.

This kit is a product of Kimeric Kreations and the staples are by Anna Aspnes.

Sooooo, that was my Digital Scrapbooking Day and I loved it!

Remember, leave me a comment and let me know if any of you were able to scrap the day away!

There will be another one or two “Walking” posts up before week’s end, so be sure to pop back in and see where I’ve been walking.

Hugs and Have A Creative Day!
