It’s that time of year again when I begin the task of growing vegetables and tending my herbs.
I saw a tip on pinterest where you can freeze your herbs in olive oil using ice cube trays. I’m going to try that this year. It would sure be convenient to have my own herbs at the ready to just plop into the cooking pot. I’ve still got much to learn about cooking with herbs but I’m determined to use more of them this year.
Here’s a shot of my basil, cilantro, and wild red thyme. I also have dill, chives, basil, sage, and lavender. I’m sure I’ll have images of those a bit later.
I used a new texture I recently made with gesso and dylusions black spray ink. I set it at color burn blend mode at 76% to pop the colors in the image.
Feel free to download the texture and give it a try if you wish.
Enjoy and thanks so much for stopping by!
