Hello Monday! It’s here again…..so soon. This Monday is just a little bit different for me. I normally have my 15 month old granddaughter (Alexia) and then again on Wednesdays. HOWEVER, her Momma is off work now as we’re all awaiting the arrival of a new baby, our 6th grandchild!! Am I REALLY that old? NAH! I’m still in my 50’s and although that USED to seem old to me, it sure doesn’t now! Okay……I see I’m ranting…..on with the post.
Cate’s prompt today for Blog Everyday in May is to “set a goal for this week, something we’ve been putting off and to complete it by week’s end.”
My flower and veggie garden take precedence this time of year, so this isn’t something I’ve been putting off but still something that needs to get done (before the new wee one arrives).
I still have a few flowers to plant/pot as well as my tomatoes, peppers, green beans and carrots. (not all shown)
Today so far I’ve:
- planted 2 lupine
- planted 1 poppy
- planted my bee balm
- mowed the back yard
- helped hubby til up a garden spot for the tomatoes, green peppers, and green beans (they’re not planted YET).
Throughout the rest of the week, my plans are to:
- plant the veggies
- finish cleaning out the front flower bed
- plant some annuals in the front flower bed
There you have it….now I’m accountable for accomplishing my goal! I think I have a pretty good start. The hardest part is done. It will be such a pleasure to sit on the deck with a cuppa and just watch it grow and be beautiful…..and take LOTS of photos!
What about you? Have you set a goal and deadline recently? I’d love to hear about it.
I’m off to check out the link up and see what others have going on this week.
Thanks so much for stopping by and Have A Creative Day!!
Cheryl
I admire those who have the time, energy, and patience to garden! I’d love to have the fresh veggies but the planting and weeding just isn’t my thing.
Thanks for all the wonderful comments on my blog in the past week. I’m still having a hard time figuring out how to get your blog added to my reader. It doesn’t seem to take.
We have four tomato plants out this year, but that’s about all the gardening we’ll do. However, I did get out and mow the grass, then edge and weed earlier today! 🙂
