Go Green to Detox – I have to say that this is a first for me, but decided to give it a try.
We’re SLOWLY trying to eat healthier foods. I’ll be honest, I’m having a rough time with it. I’m just a country girl, born and raised, and am having a hard time adapting to new foods and new meals. I’m having to learn how to prepare meals without meat. So….every couple of days, I’ve been trying something new with veggies and fruit instead of meat and potatoes.
Okay, so this post isn’t about a meal. I decided a detox was in order for me so this is the one I’ve prepared. I found the recipe on Prevention’s site.
I used Kim’s “earthy” preset on this shot with slight adjustments to the Luminance and Exposure.
Green Detox Smoothie
I wanted to try a texture on this square format of the resulting drink. I used Kim’s “ohMy” texture, multiply blend mode at 62%, applied an adjustment mask and brushed the texture off the glass and most of the linen.
NOW I’ll give my honest opinion of this drink. First of all, if you’re used to “juicing”, I think you’d love this drink. The kiwi and honey give it a sweet taste but not overly sweet. This is a fairly tall glass and I managed to get through about three-quarters of the drink. I think it’s more the texture that I’m not used to but I’ll be making it again……LOTS of ingredients that I know are super good for me and wouldn’t otherwise get naturally.
Feel free to save or print the recipe below and be sure to visit Prevention’s site for plenty more!
I’m also linking up to Kim’s Texture Tuesday.
