My gosh, the internet is dangerous, don’t you think? I find so very many things on here that I NEED TO DO! And one of them is……..miniature fary gardens, however in my case (cause I like to make new things my own), I’m creating a miniature gnome/fairy garden in my front flower bed. Mind you, in the pictures you’re about to see, this is just a SMALL part of my front flower garden. I’ll be able to expand as time goes on and I figure out exactly what I want and either purchase some furniture and figurines OR make my own furniture. I just haven’t figured that out yet, but I WILL! I’ll keep any further progress posted here on my site.
K, photo #1 is the full scene.
Photo #2 is a close-er up of just the little house there. It’s actually a toad house but the toads don’t use it, so I took it back for my gnome/fairy garden. LOL I made steps up to the toad house with tiny rocks and pieces of dried wood from that stump behind the house.
Photo #3 is a closer-up of the left side. I already had quite a spread of hens and chicks, so I divided some of them and placed them in the log and various places. The little red/green tree-looking things were tiny starts that were shooting up from the barberry bush in the background. They’ve become “trees” for my garden until such time they get too big and I’ll replace them.
Photo #4 is a closer-up of the right side. I planted a small zinnia and a marigold for some color. Let’s just pretend they’re ornamental bushes for the gnome/fairy home. I felt like a kid again yesterday as I played in the dirt and used small things. As kids, we used to play with tiny farm animals and tonka trucks and build little farms around the base of our huge Maple tree at home. I had so much fun yesterday and it brought back lots of memories. This will all make for a wonderful scrapbook page!
Photo #5 is showing you the clematis that has been stubborn and won’t climb on anything for me, so I figured it was going to bloom on the ground anyway, so I just laid it towards my little area here and the gnomes and fairies should have some beautiful flowers adorning their part of my flower bed before long. You probably can’t see it in the photo but I ran the stem of the clematis through the fairy’s hand. She’s holding it in place for me. LOL
Hope you enjoyed my new hobby/craft post today. I’m pinning different things I find on fairy gardens to my Pinterest and will continue pinning as long as I find interesting things that I can take/use from each one I pin. You can follow me on Pinterest HERE.
Hugs and Have A Creative Day!!
