It’s harvest time for a number of plants in my garden already. I think a combination of too much rain and then a dry spell are playing havoc with my garden. Is anyone else thinking that our lovely plants and flowers are fading away much too quickly…….sigh?
I just HAD to set up a couple shots of my Garden Harvest of Oregano and Dill on the potting bench. I had MONSTER size Dill this year. Those blossom heads are about 8 inches in diameter! If I DON’T harvest them, I’m going to have Dill taking over my flower bed!
I started off with this one of the Dill. I used Kim Klassen’s “darkday” lightroom preset.
Then I decided to add a few more props….again using Kim’s “darkday” preset.
My Oregano flowered and it was just too pretty and aromatic NOT to gather a bouquet for the kitchen. I used Kim’s “burnt almond” preset on this image.
And then I decided to try a top-down shot with my painted boards as the background. I used Kim’s “harvest” preset on this next image. I rather like the way the green vase is popping through the center of the bouquet. I suppose this could be considered monochromatic?
Can’t wait to turn a couple of these into more greeting cards for my Etsy Shop.
That’s it for today. I still have some images to post with my Astilbe harvest……am drying them for winter photos. Stay tuned!
Hugs and Have a Creative Day!
