My goodness…..I went crazy with the mint tea shoot yesterday, so I decided to save some for today’s “Friday Finds” with Kim Klassen.
I had picked up a few pieces of Homer Laughlin WEEKS ago but have so far only shared one cup……until yesterday when I gave you a peek at the 2nd cup…..and today, we’ll be seeing the matching bowl along with more images of the cup and bowl together.
So here we go. It rained yesterday so I was forced to shoot indoors but found some lovely light from my south facing sliding doors.
No textures on these images, just editing in Lightroom and playing with the various module settings.
I left space for a quote on this image.
And just one more………I FOUND a new love for my 10-24 Wide Angle lens (which I think I’ve only used once) but I’m thinking it may work really well for shots where I don’t particularly need a shallow depth of field (it’s a 3.5-4.5) and I can get right on top of my subjects, lending to better focus.
And it looks like I lied up above when I said I didn’t texture any of the images.
I DID texture this one with Kim’s “kk-waterfront1” – 2 layers, the 1st at multiply blend mode at 100% opacity, the 2nd layer at soft light – 20% opacity. LOVE this texture and how it shows in the image.
That’s it for today. I’m linking up with Kim’s FRIDAY FINDS.
I hope you enjoyed my share today and here’s wishing everyone a WONDERFUL weekend!!
