Foraging is defined by Dictionary Dot Com as:
- noun –
- adjective –
So I suppose I can say that I foraged for plant matter today which will become our food (in part) for the next few days. Oh so healthy!!
We actually are lucky enough to have several Mennonite Farm Markets close by. That is where I foraged this morning. Some days I have to use one of their shopping carts to gather all I want.
The Romaine Lettuce, Broccoli, Onions, Spinach, Cucumber, Tomato, and Red Pepper (along with the carrots I already have) will make a huge salad that will last us for days, unless we decide to make our entire meal a salad and then it won’t last quite so long.
I used one of Kim Klassen’s Lightroom Presets on the above photo called “quiet dreams”.
And for those of you that enjoy seeing behind the scenes setups, here’s what mine looked like. I have a tiny bathroom in my upstairs that’s rarely used, so this is where I like to do some shooting once cold weather sets in. This is an antique dresser along the far wall and my light comes from a small window to the left. You can see the white foam board I used on the right to bounce light back onto my set up.
And here’s the shot I used on Instagram. I used another of Kim’s Lightroom Presets on this one called “mood swing”.
I’m hoping to arrange a space in my basement this winter but will need to use artificial light, so that will be interesting. I hope you’ll follow along to see how it all takes shape.
Thanks for stopping by!
