In my quest to find some color during this long winter we seem to be having, and not that I mind because I LOVE snow, just not the bitter cold temps we’ve been having….I chose one of my depressionware pieces, a yankee candle and some yankee candle tarts. Ohhhh the aroma!
Plus I thought I’d show you how to get double duty out of a piece of fabric for a backdrop.
This 1st image is the right side of the fabric remnant that I picked up the other day for $1.27 at Walmart. You can see the tiny floral print on the light green fabric.
I also used Rad Lab’s “Handlebar Moustache” stylet with a few adjustments.
And if you just flip the fabric over, you’ll get a MUCH lighter color. This was almost a white, which allowed Kim Klassen’s “kk-touch” texture (2 layers at different blend modes and opacities) to present a slight pinkish tone to the image. I added an adjustment mask and brushed the texture off the objects.
Oh what a difference a few adjustments make!
I’m linking up with Kim’s Texture Tuesday.
Thanks so much for stopping by and Have A Creative Day!
