My flowers are blooming abundantly! I wanted to capture them while they’re fresh and before the bugs begin eating holes in the petals! I really must get an organic bug spray to keep them safe…..they’re much too beautiful to let the bugs eat them. After all, I DO live for summertime and my flower garden.
I decided to do something a little different with today’s images. There’s so many ways to edit and manipulate our images, it’s hard to decide sometimes which way to go when editing.
Let me just show you how you can change an image with Rad Lab and Topaz Impression…..no presets….no textures.
Image #1 – my original image – Aren’t those Hot Pokers just magnificent?!
Image #2 – I used Rad Lab’s “rusty cage” and “prettyizer” settings and just played with the sliders until I got something I liked. I’ve always loved the “rusty cage” anyway…..what a gorgeous….well…..rusty coloring. Notice how it changed the color of the skeleton keys?
Image #3 – I haven’t done any black and white in a while, so I used Rad Lab’s “red filter black and white” and the “bitchin’ black and white”. Yes, that’s exactly what that particular setting is called. Quite lovely, don’t you think?
Image #4 – And last but not least, a painterly image done with “Topaz Labs – Impression”. I just adore this one! So many settings to play with, a number of brushes to choose from just like a real artist…..you can change the length of the stroke, choose how heavy you want the paint, just so many ways to manipulate your image.
Oh, and before I forget…..you can read my review of Topaz Labs Impression right HERE. AND, you can also save 15%……any time…..by using coupon code -Cheryl15 – and that is an affiliate link just to let you know. But hey, it’s an AWESOME piece of software and you can use it right inside Photoshop!
Okay, that’s it for today. We’ll be off for a short vacation visiting family and then I’ll be back with more still life images and editing!
Have a Happy 4th of July to all my US friends and be safe!
Hugs and Have A Creative Day!
