I was originally going to share just one photo for today’s Texture Tuesday, but once I applied the texture……I decided to include my SOOC image, my edited image, and THEN the final image using Kim’s new texture. What resulted was an amazing Carnation Transformation!
So here goes:
IMAGE #1 – SOOC (straight out of the camera…..for those that may not know the abbreviation) My images usually begin somewhat on the dark side because I’m always concerned when there’s a ton of light that something will be blown out.
IMAGE #2 – I’m sharing my steps in Lightroom so you can see how the above image resulted in this one.
- auto tone
- increased exposure
- cropped to 1:1
- decreased shadows by moving the slider to the right
- applied Kim’s “harvest” preset
- slightly increased the saturation of the pink in the blooms
I was thrilled with the “white-ness” and dreamy look.
IMAGE #3 – I was beyond excited when I applied Kim’s “Touch-a” texture at soft light blend mode at 75%. I think this is the white-est image I’ve produced to date! Absolutely thrilled!! A subtle difference but JUST what I’ve been working to produce!
I’m pretty sure I’ve found a new location in my home for shooting………at least until warm weather comes and I can move outdoors………sigh.
I’d love to hear your thoughts on the transformation.
Hugs and Have an Artistic Day!!
