It looks as if this will be the last of the images in the Autumn Stroll series. Our rain lately along with some high winds have all but completely stripped the majority of the trees around here.
I’ll be moving on this month and being thankful. I ran onto a lovely blog today and she has a FREE downloadable “Thanksgiving Workbook. Her name is Michelle and you can find her at She Works His Way (and her workbook too!) I’m going to be working through it this month myself.
Now, on to my quote and visual inspiration for Autumn’s Last Fling.
“Two sounds of Autumn are unmistakable…the hurrying rustle of crisp leaves blown along the street…by a gusty wind, and the gabble of a flock of migrating geese.” ~ Hal Borland
I chose to set my aperture at f/1.8 for this one to get a bit of blue in the image. Aren’t these little gourds and mini pumpkins just adorable?! I LOVE Autumn!
Now an aperture of f/9 and portrait format to see more of the woven basket and my handmade decoration in the back.
Another f/9 aperture and pulled back even more.
I’ve had this basket for a number of years. It normally sits on my front deck/porch full of decorations much like you see in the images. When I finished my shoot….picked up the basket with all these lovelies inside…..the entire bottom fell out of the basket!!! No more gorgeous basket!!! Maybe I should forage for some limber vines and TRY my hand at making one like it. If I do, I’ll be sure to post the results.
I sure hope you enjoyed the Autumn Stroll series. It’s much fun to choose something…..a season, a collection, etc. and make a series of images. Have you done this before? I’m sure some of you have. I’d love to hear about your series and even see it! Leave me a comment with a link to your images (if you have any) so I can visit!
Until next time, Hugs and Have A Creative Day!
