Have I mentioned lately that I’m sooooo loving Instagram lately? Once I learned how to get my images from my Nikon (not my phone, acchh! Don’t like the images I get from it) over to Instagram, oh what fun I’m having and SUCH inspiration can be found there!
So anyway, Xanthe is hosting a different color every week on Instagram (#colorcolourlovers) and this week’s color is yellow.
We’re also doing fruits and/or veggies in Kim’s Studio Online.
I can never seem to choose just 1 shot, and besides, it’s too much fun trying out various lightroom presets and/or textures of the images.
IMAGE 1 – My first couple shots were a bit darker, so I chose one simply because the darker still life images remind me so much of the Old World Masters. I also used one of Kim’s lightroom presets called “darklight”. My focus was on the apple outside the bowl in this shot. I like this one because it shows part of the design on the vintage bowl.
IMAGE 2 – I use Kim’s lightroom preset called “moodswing” on this one. Again, the focus was on the apple outside the bowl.
IMAGE 3 – I used Kim’s texture called “touchof-1” and applied the blend mode “divide” at 100% opacity. I rarely use that blend mode but it lightened this image and gave the color just a tad of pop! And this time, I focused on the apple inside the bowl.
Now I can’t wait to see all the different yellow images popping up on Instagram! Are you an instagrammer? Do you have any favorite hashtags to share?
I sure hope you enjoyed today’s post and until next time….
