I’m linking up with Kim Klassen’s “Friday Finds”.
I found a surprise in my mail Friday. My brother, who lives in Virginia dug up some bulbs and sent me a box full of Amaryllis bulbs! I’ve always wanted to grow these gorgeous specimens so I researched forcing them and here’s just one way where you can just use water. The important thing is not to let the water get to the bulb, as it will rot. Another way is to place them on rocks or sea shells with the roots down and then pour enough water into the container to just below the bottom of the bulb.
I did one with seashells. I bought a small bag of them at WalMart for about $4. I can’t get to any rocks outside right now due to our 4 inches of snow and they’re more than likely frozen to the ground. I’ll share the one using just water for today’s find. This bulb was larger than the others.
Thanks so much for looking and Have A Creative Day!
