Oh my, the awesome stacked photography from The Studio | Online is so very inspiring…….different……but lovely! I’d never seen so many different things stacked so beautifully.
I created a Stack of Cookbooks for my contribution.
The wooden crate was given to me a long time ago from a friend. I’ve had it filled with magazines but it was time to clean it out and use it for a prop.
I decided to go through my cookbooks and stack those. My goodness, I didn’t realize how many I had. What you see in my image is just about a third of them. And it’s amazing that I can’t think of what to fix for dinner. Maybe I need to confess to being a hoarder of cook books! In my own defense, quite a few of these were my Mother’s. The vintage cookbook on the left was published in the 1950’s. LOVE this old treasure with notes written in my Mother’s hand. There are so many things I have of hers that I feel blessed to have and can pass down to my own daughter one day.
BUT for now, let’s get on with the images, shall we?
IMAGE #1 – I used Kim’s “chocolate” Lightroom preset…..LOVE the darkish look it contributes to still life images.
IMAGE #2 – I backed out from the set-up, took a portrait format shot so I could crop it to a square. I like the space at the top….room for word art or a quote. I used Kim’s “breeze” preset on this one.
IMAGE #3 – Moving in for a close-up. I used Kim’s “rumpled” preset with a few tweaks.
I think I’ll come up with a few more things to stack. If you haven’t tried this yet, you simply must! So much fun!
Thanks for stopping by. Wishing you an Artistic Day!
