I took some time Sunday afternoon to spend time with a friend and do some browsing at the antique store. I’ve been looking for a tea cup and saucer for a few months. It HAD to be something I absolutely LOVED. I’ve passed up a number of them and I knew that when I found THE set, I’d just know.
I finally found it! isn’t it lovely?! I love the pale blues and greens with that touch of purple and a bit of pink. So much the spring look. That must be why it spoke to me.
This first image is untouched other than a basic lightroom edit with white balance and exposure. I wanted to show the true colors in the set.
Then I moved in closer to capture the left side of the set-up, moving the cinnamon sticks in a bit closer. I also applied Kim’s “dreamlike” preset….love what this did to the image……really…..dreamlike.
Now I moved in closer to the right side of the set-up to include the entire spoon and just the corner of the book…..again using Kim’s “dreamlike” preset.
I just can’t decide which of these last 2 images I like the best! I love the cinnamon sprinkled in the upper image but I love the book showing as well as the entire spoon in this bottom image. I suppose it’s a good thing though that I love both images instead of liking none, right? So it’s a good indecision!
So glad you stopped by today.
I’m linking up with Kim Klassen’s “Texture Tuesday” and also submitting this image to her #mystillsundaycompetition challenge on Instagram. If you’re an instagrammer, you must check out that gallery…….pure awesomeness!
Off to check out the other Texture Tuesday entries.
Hugs to you and be sure to have an Artistic Day!
