We have a new member in our family…..Raider. We didn’t get Raider to replace Boss, that could never happen. We got Raider to fill an empty void, to love her and give her a good home, to be a pal to Boo for whatever time left we have with him. Although Boo is an 11 year old male, he was always a very good “mother” dog to Boss. He’s already begun to teach Raider well. And she’s teaching us too…that we can love another pet while still grieving for Boss. Raider has her own personality just like all animals have their own unique personality, so we don’t compare her to Boss, we knew what we were in for. Raider is helping us to get through the process just as she’s helping Boo…..to adjust to this new chapter in our lives.
Raider looks like Boss, yes. She’s a “Boglen” which is a mix between a male Boston Terrier and a female Beagle.
Here’s our Mister Boo keeping watch over Raider as she explores the back yard by herself for the first time.
And meet Raider. She’s almost 5 months old and doing very well in her new environment.
She just doesn’t like her collar very well.
And of all places to rest, she’s lying on last year’s herb garden. I sure hope that’s not an indication of what’s going to happen to my gardens this year <……..snicker.>
I’m sure you’ll see more of Boo and Raider as the year goes on and I thank you so much for stopping by.
Have A Creative Day AND a GREAT Weekend!
Cheryl
