December is in full swing…..and I’ve begun my Holiday Album. I decided not to call it December Daily this year because my Holidays actually begin in November.
I’m a total movie buff and every November, I tune into Hallmark Channel’s Countdown to Christmas! I may even watch the same movie 6 times….IF I like it.
I thought I’d share a couple pages of my Holiday Album with you today.
PAGE 1 – here’s those movies I was telling you about. I’m using products by Anna Aspnes. I took her Blending Class to learn exactly how to use her Art Play Kits. It was so well worth it!! I was lucky enough to get in on the innaugural class which was a bit cheaper then. But if you can swing it, you’ll be glad you did, IF this is your type of scrapbooking that is. I still scrap traditionally too…..just decided to change things up a bit this year with the albums being more artsy.
UPDATE TO ORIGINAL POST!! – And THEN……Anna created a brand NEW class called the aA Project. The participants used her fantastic templates with Art Play kits to create albums. I think most of us worked on a Holiday Album while some worked on travel albums, etc. I’m not sure when this latest class might be held again but the AnnaBlendz Class will be held again in March and you can find all the details HERE. I’m adding all my Holiday Album pages to the bottom of this post. I had it printed at Picaboo, which I used for the very first time and was THRILLED with this book in print! I was lucky enough to catch a huge sale on their books just in time to get this printed. Whew!
PAGE 1 – All about my addiction to the Hallmark Channel Christmas movies that begin running in November right up until Christmas!
PAGE 2 and 3 – I attended a Cookie Exchange with my daughter this year on November 21st…..oh what fun!! That’s me in the large blended photo. I’m trying to overcome the “fear” of having my self in photos.
PAGE 4 AND 5 – Thanksgiving at my daughter’s house
PAGE 8 AND 9 – Sharing a little Christmas Magic with my granddaughter – stories from some of my OLD “Golden books” and then her opening “Elf on the Shelf” which I gave her a couple weeks before Christmas.
PAGE 10 AND 11 – A story of my Mother’s Christmas Cactus and then a blast from the past …. I was all of 2 years old!
PAGE 14 AND 15 – Football doesn’t stop for Christmas – It’s part of my Holiday too! KEEP POUNDING PANTHERS!! GO BUCKS!!
PAGE 16 AND 17 – Baking the goodies and Christmas at our house!
PAGE 18 AND 19 – Christmas Eve in Ohio with temps in the 70’s??? Yup! Caught my grandsons playing on the trampoline and then this was the day they got their very fist egg from one of the hens!! Christmas present for Adam!!
PAGE 20 AND 21 – A Brookover Christmas! (my husband’s aunt and uncle’s house) and WHAT a Christmas it was with one of the little ones dialing 911 during dinner! In comes the Sheriff! He let me snap his photo talking to Reese about why he shouldn’t dial 911. He was very pleasant and handled the little one quite well.
PAGE 22 AND 23 – I totally forgot my camera when we visited my oldest son’s house and my Dad’s house, so I improvised this year and created a page of past Christmases. And then we went to visit Sarah and Travis and little Izzy who was enjoying watching the gold fish in the aquarium. Sarah had a slowly turning tree and she LOVES her pink and white ornaments, so I got a bit creative with my shots!
AND FINALLY – the back cover.
I was able to finish my book right after Christmas and caught a last minute half off deal from Picaboo. LOVE their work!!
I hope you enjoyed this tour of my Holiday 2015 Album. I’m sure I’ll be making another next year!
So, until next time,
