31 WAYS TO USE AND DISPLAY YOUR PHOTOS – DAY 14
As I was thinking through my ideas for the Write 31 Days posts, it occurred to me that all our photos don’t’ have to be of people, or pets, or nature, etc.
Why not photograph pieces of art that either we’ve made ourselves or that loved ones have made and display that in our homes as well.
For instance, I ran across these lovely items that I have had packed away. Some are my Mother’s and honestly, I couldn’t face seeing them for a long time after she passed away……too painful. But NOW….yes! I’m ready to get them out and re-live the wonderful memories of times spent with my Mother and see just how talented she was and remember the love she put into these pieces.
I chose the wall on the stairs that leads to our upstairs bedrooms. This wall is seen right off when anyone enters the front door into the foyer. ( Oh yes, the upstairs of our old home was an add-on YEARS ago by the former owners. There are some strange angles in these ceilings!)
I thought I’d add a few close-ups of the stitchery. The 1957 Chevy and the two cute little mice were done by me somewhere in the late 80’s or early 90’s. I should’ve written the date and my name on the back, but I didn’t.
My Mother stitched the rest of these that I’m sharing. I can now accept and LOVE seeing them on my walls and walking down memory lane. And SHE was thinking…….she added her name AND the date that she completed it. Most of these were done in 1991.
The Old Outhouse is one of my very favorites! It’s so darn cute!
Have you ever thought to hang your stitching on the walls? Do tell, leave me a comment.
Until tomorrow, HUGS AND HAVE A CREATIVE 31 DAYS!
